Performer  Steve Story is an exceptionally gifted and talented instrumentalist and vocalist!  He has toured and/or recorded with many well-known artists over the past 30 years:  Red Steagall & the Boys in the Bunkhouse, Ricky Van Shelton, Ray Price, Shelby Lynn, Steve Warner, George Strait, Danny Steagall, Tom T. Hall, Willie Nelson, and has over 500 shows with the late, great Glenn Campbell.  Other performances include:  Bass Hall, National Hall, Cowtown Birthplace of Western Swing Festival, Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Modern Art Museum, & the Scat Jazz Lounge in Ft. Worth, TX; Meyerson Symphony Hall in Dallas, TX; National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, Oklahoma City; Jazz Lab in Edmond, OK; Wichita Jazz Festival, Vail Jazz Festival in Vail, Colorado, Arlington Music Hall, Music City Tonight, and the Grand Ole Opry.  Steve has been the featured soloist on numerous Grammy-nominated albums.

 

Currently, performing with Steve Story & Texas Swing band and Steve Story & Friends at music festivals, weddings, receptions, corporate and civic events, dances, fundraisers, reunions, VIP receptions, and private engagements.  Also, Steven "Leon" Story tours with Red Steagall and every year, he joins Red Steagall at the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering in the Stockyards in Ft. Educator With his Masters in Music Education and his years of professional musical experience, Steve Story visits high schools, colleges, and universities providing his "From Western Swing to Jazz and Beyond" Clinics & Concerts.  For serious students of violin, steel guitar, and/or guitar, inquire about Intermediate/Advanced Private Instruction.   

 

 Producer Over the last fifteen years, Steve has produced numerous projects in the Texas music industry for various singers/songwriters.  "As an arranger, producer, and player, it is a joy to handpick a group of professional musicians to create something magical in the studio.  We have state of the art facility and competitive rates and work with experienced professionals when it comes to recorded music." - Steve.   With many influences and many years of playing in a variety of settings, Steve brings many years of experience to produce a quality music project in the studio.
